Her story ended before it even began.
This is a very familiar kind of story.
In those days, Liang Houben, a former official under a powerful chancellor, had a villa west of Zhaoying County, right beside the riverbank. As he sat fishing, he suddenly saw something floating by, about five or six feet long and wrapped in brocade. He ordered his servants to bring it ashore, where they discovered it was a coffin. When they opened it, they found a young woman inside, still dressed and made up with care, a silk scarf tied around her neck. They loosened the scarf and checked her. There was still a faint breath in her mouth and nose, so they carried her into a room and nursed her for more than ten days.
