After Hypnosis

Without a moment's thought, Cheng Zhi turned and shielded her, acting on instinct. The dull thud of a blade entering her body made the heart ache.

Covered in blood, she still forced herself to turn back and give Lin Yuanyin a pure smile, stained red.

"Don't be afraid, Mommy... I'll protect you."

At that moment, Lin Yuanyin felt her heart clench hard, a sharp, unfamiliar pain shooting through it.

To give the person in her arms a chance to survive, Lin Yuanyin lifted the hypnosis. She clung desperately to the barely breathing Cheng Zhi, hot tears falling onto her bloodied cheek.
