Lin Huai, 22 years old, had just finished defending her college thesis. Finally free, she went with her former groupmate, Jin Yaoyue, to celebrate at the Jinxu Hotel. She'd only had a bit too much to drink, not even enough to throw up.
The next second, she found herself in a pure white room, lying on a soft bed and staring blankly at the lavish crystal chandelier overhead.
She thought she'd transmigrated, but never in her wildest dreams did she expect to have arrived in her own twenty-ninth year. Lin Huai was ready to cry. She was still young! Why could other people waste their time and squander their youth, while she had skipped the seven best years of her life and jumped straight into a new age bracket: middle age?
Then she thought about it. If she was already twenty-nine, surely she must have made something of herself. Given her interests, she ought to have become a great novelist or screenwriter, or at the very least run a public account.
But why had she chosen such a completely unsuitable career, and why had she also gained a fiancee who was totally not her type and wanted to break off their engagement?
