The Song of the Performer (Qing Dynasty Transmigration)

Jin Ping: Jin means precious, while Ping refers to someone adrift, An actor's dream, a century of upheaval Such is life, such is this fleeting existence. Who knows where fate begins or ends? Who knows? Where does love begin and end? Where is true, devoted love to be found? Tell me how to carry on down this lonely road. Tell me how to face what comes next. Tell me where I can find another beautiful dream. The past is gone, but the facts have never changed. The past is gone, yet old memories return again. I hadn't planned to bring this up, but someone asked, so here's an explanation of whether women in the Qing dynasty could perform in opera. The answer is yes, but men and women didn't perform together. There were male troupes and female troupes. In fact, the records from Joseon tell a juicy tale about Yixiang keeping male opera performers. Still, I don't want to write danmei, or perhaps my writing hasn't yet captured that gorgeous danmei feeling, so I created a woman like Jin Ping instead. As for why men and women perform in the same troupe and on the same stage here, and why female performers have won over the mainstream and the imperial family, all I can say is that a novel is a novel, not a historical study. Hehe. I'm making this clear to avoid misleading anyone. Leslie Cheung's White Snake costume, my beloved GG~~ Intention:
