Inuyasha: Naraku

There are eight sufferings in this world: birth, aging, illness, death, separation from loved ones, resentment that lingers, unfulfilled desires, and the inability to let go. The most poisonous of all are unfulfilled desires and the inability to let go. Perhaps that is what Kikyo was to Naraku: unattainable, yet impossible to let go of, until she became a thorn lodged deep in his heart, impossible to pull out or speak of.
