Yinglai Inn is the only respectable inn in Quyang Town. Its owner, Nalan Yin, is the only son of the once-wealthy Nalan family. When the rest of his family moved to the capital, he refused to go and stayed behind to run the inn with Uncle Ding and Xiao Qiu. By chance, Yu Feng, who had just returned from studying cooking elsewhere, was Nalan Yin's childhood friend. He came by to lend a hand and make a living. Their lives were peaceful and comfortable, until an unexpected guest arrived. All sorts of unforeseen things happened at the inn, and stories both joyful and sad, frightening and heartwarming, unfolded there.
