① The heroine is an original character, a medical ninja who defected from Sunagakure.
② The pairing is Sasori (he’s just so, so adorable! I couldn’t resist writing a story about him).
③ This is probably a serious story wearing the guise of a romance. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, snarky story, feel free to click away.
④ Feel free to point out any plot holes. This foolish author is a poor writer, so who knows if the characters will go out of character? Anyway, I’ll do my best.
⑤ The title comes from a Japanese nursery rhyme of the same name (?). The heroine’s name comes from the villainess, Kirie Ujo, in the first chapter of The Garden of Sinners, “Overlooking View.” It has no special meaning; I just really like the character, so this is kind of a tribute and a remembrance of her? (She dies after falling from a building.)
