Ji Bai, born into one of the Chu state's wealthiest families, is exiled to Ba with his father. There, he unexpectedly encounters a young nobleman who lives in seclusion and practices witchcraft. Ji Bai assumes the youth has chosen to hide in the mountains because of his temperament, but he never expects the man to draw him into a whirlpool of the past, one involving Ji Bai himself, though he knows nothing about it. Their brief, gentle encounter turns out to stir up more than just love. "People say life is precious, but I live to atone for my sins: for letting you meet me, for showing you the beauty of the outside world, and for helping you escape that prison. My crimes are many." This novel was inspired by the historical case of the "Zero-Mouth Girl." Even now, it is impossible to determine whether the deceased was a man or a woman, and experts believe the cause of death was witchcraft. This story will be a little more heartwarming, with additional plotlines and characters. Watch as two living corpses uncover the secrets of their past and turn the world upside down (meow meow meow).
