[Touken Ranbu] Today's Enemy Saniwa Is Just as Friendly: The Atsukashiyama Incident

High-intensity warning: The entire story is heavily out of character, with lots of original headcanons.

Despite the title, this has little to do with Atsukashiyama and isn't a derivative of Touken Ranbu: The Musical either. Don't be fooled by the title, haha!

A list of the out-of-character sword warriors appearing in this story:

Tsurumaru Kuninaga, who loves stirring things up and never worries about the consequences; the not-so-cool mother of the Honmaru, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada; Papa Ishikirimaru, whose mobility and sharp tongue are both off the charts; Heshikiri Hasebe, supposedly a sadist but actually rather timid in some ways; the mad doctor Yagen Toushirou; Souza Samonji, whose brother-complex has finally awakened; Aoe, who barely gets any screen time but still keeps smiling; Kashuu Kiyomitsu, sporting new nail polish but basically just there to make up the numbers; Ookurikara, who goes from being a fluff enthusiast to a little-kid enthusiast; and the Honmaru's very first prince (Huh?), Yamanbagiri Kunihiro.

If you can handle that, read on.

Reading order for the series: Dedicated Service → Friendly

Warning: A male Saniwa (?) appears.
