Someone Always Wants to Win My Heart

VIP announcement: I've confirmed with my editor that the novel will go VIP on Thursday the 15th. Three chapters will be updated that day, and there will be retroactive VIP chapters, so hurry and read them, my dears. After they go VIP, some chapters won't be free to read. I am the fourth emperor of the Great Xia Dynasty. I had died, but when I awoke, the empress was no longer the same empress, the palace maidens selected for the imperial harem talked to me about equality, and my fourth son, who had never been favored, was suddenly pursued by countless women. Selected maiden: Why should we kneel? We're all people. Everyone is equal. Me: Guards! This woman has shown disrespect before the throne. Beat her to death. Palace consort: Fallen blossoms are not heartless things. They turn into spring mud to nourish the flowers. Me: It's cold today. It must be hard for my beloved consort to dance for me dressed so lightly. I graciously permit you to dance in this plum grove for an hour. Palace consort 2: Your Majesty, please try these pastries. My private kitchen just made them. Me: Have they been inspected by the imperial kitchen? Has a eunuch tasted them for poison? Zhao Yunyu: You are my royal father. Me: It's not as if we're related by blood, darling. Instead of wasting time thinking about that, why don't you do something more practical? I slipped my hand behind him. Top: Zhao Rui, scheming, calculating, and possibly a bit of a scoundrel. Bottom: Zhao Yunyu, resilient and patient, but no pushover. My new novel: Please add it to your collection, (* ￣3)(ε￣ *) Theme:
