[Western Fantasy] The Little Match Girl

It was the last day of the year, New Year’s Eve. Snow was falling, and the weather was unbearably cold.

A little girl selling matches walked down the street. Her clothes were old and worn, and on her feet she wore a pair of her mother’s oversized slippers.

Her pockets were full of matchboxes. She struck a match, and the unfinished outline of her thesis appeared before her eyes. With an expressionless face, she struck a second match. In its flame, the outline of a mass of black mist appeared, faintly radiating the aura of hell.

“I’m a demon. Would you like to make a pact, girl...?”

“Thanks, but no.”

“Wait, listen. There are lots of benefits...”

After watching Dragon Maid, I suddenly wondered: What kind of trouble could the Little Match Girl get into if she lived in a Western fantasy world?
