Synopsis for this story
Bing Wengu transmigrated from a zombie world to an ancient one. At first glance, he saw a world of lush greenery and thought everything about it was wonderful. Especially the young husband from the neighboring village, Nan Jinping. He was even better.
Bing Wengu had been a bachelor for 230 years. He'd long since moved past dreaming of finding a wife. He was the sort of man who'd give up his life to find one.
But his mother said, "Son, our family is too poor. Even if you marry, we won't be able to support your spouse!"
His younger brother said, "Brother, if you marry, I won't be able to. We only have enough money for one of us to get married."
His mother-in-law said, "Jinping, you can't marry him. You won't have enough to eat over there, and you'll starve to death."
His father-in-law said, "Jinping, you'd be better off staying here and working than marrying him. At least this family won't let you starve. Your brothers aren't heartless. Their children will look after you in your old age."
The villagers said, "The Bing family is so poor they can barely afford food. And he thinks he can marry a husband? What a pipe dream."
Others said, "Nan Jinping may be a little ugly, unable to have children, and unable to find a spouse, but he's not stupid. There's no way he'd marry Bing Wengu!"
Nan Jinping looked at Bing Wengu's home, whose poverty was beyond description, and said, "I'll marry him!"
Everyone thought Bing Wengu was so poor he couldn't even afford a wedding banquet. But before the wedding, he repaired the house and put on a banquet with ten meat dishes and ten vegetable dishes, symbolizing perfection in every way.
Everyone thought Bing Wengu was just putting on a show and would have to live in debt afterward. They waited to laugh at Nan Jinping and see how he'd toil himself to death paying it all back.
But after he married into the family, the Bings wouldn't let Nan Jinping lift a finger. They practically treated him like an honored ancestor!
There was no such thing as a young woman or husband in the village who didn't work. The villagers were so envious their eyes nearly dripped blood.
They said, "The Bing family is so poor they're afraid Nan's boy will run away, so they won't let him do a thing!"
Then they tossed and turned all night with envy. They wanted to be free of having to serve their entire in-law family, too!
The next day, the villagers noticed Bing Wengu had left, and rumors began flying again. They declared with certainty, "The Bing family must owe too much money and be unable to pay it back. Bing Wengu has run away. Just wait, Nan Jinping's hard times are about to begin!"
Unfortunately for them, before they could see Nan Jinping suffer, Bing Wengu returned with a cart full of fine silks and brocades and became the richest man in the village overnight.
The villagers sneered again that money was useless without influence, and that it would all end up in the pockets of the powerful.
But then Bing Wengu passed the examinations to become a licentiate, a provincial graduate, and the top scholar. He became a county magistrate, then rose through the ranks to become a prefect, a provincial governor, a minister, and a marquis, eventually becoming the emperor's tutor.
Meanwhile, Nan Jinping, whom the villagers had predicted would leap into a pit of fire and spend his whole life steeped in misery, working like a beast of burden, was cherished by Bing Wengu, the man who adored him above all others. He lived a life of wealth and honor.
In time, even the emperor knew that Bing Wengu had a beloved husband whom no one could provoke or lay a hand on. He was Bing Wengu's Achilles' heel.

Mo Jiao was a top medical expert in the twenty-first century. High-ranking officials and wealthy tycoons had to book a month in advance to have him operate on them, and even then, whether they got a slot depended on whether he wanted to take them on.
At thirty-five, Mo Jiao reached another career peak and won the Nobel Prize in Medicine. He thought his future was limitless, but then his life was cut short.
When he opened his eyes again, he had arrived in an ancient world that existed inside a book.
Mo Jiao could put up with all that, but he couldn't accept that he'd transmigrated into the book's pitiful little character.
The poor child came from a distinguished background. He was a member of the Mo family, the foremost of the four great clans of the time. Even the ruler had to show them considerable deference.
The child's mother would soon die in childbirth, and his father would follow her shortly afterward, unable to bear the grief of losing her.
Left all alone, the young child would be like a little boy carrying gold through a dangerous world. A pack of greedy wolves already circling nearby would tear him apart and devour him. In the end, he'd be reduced to begging in the streets and starve to death on a rainy night.
Mo Jiao shuddered. He wasn't about to die before his time. It was only a simple cesarean section. Could that possibly stump him, a deputy chief surgeon in general surgery? He'd get his mother treated.
There was no rubbing alcohol to sterilize the instruments? No problem, they'd make some. No equipment for intravenous fluids? No problem, they'd make it. No anti-inflammatory medicine? No problem, they'd make some. What medical student hasn't grown all sorts of bacteria in a lab?
Somewhere along the way, he accidentally started a rebellion. His father ascended the throne, and he became the crown prince.
Fine, the crown prince it was. It wouldn't stop him from performing surgery, or... well, no, from loving the person by his side.
Blurb One:
Someone: Wen Lang is so beautiful!
Someone else: Dies!
Wen Rujun hated people calling him beautiful more than anything.
But Mo Jiao said Wen Lang looked breathtaking in black robes and white clothes, enough to make anyone swoon!
The next day, Wen Rujun wore black robes and white clothes for three days straight.
Blurb Two:
Wen Rujun asked Mo Jiao, "Which is more beautiful, me or gold and silver?"
Everyone knew Mo Jiao loved only three things in life: good food, money and riches, and Wen Rujun.
Mo Jiao's bun-shaped face scrunched up, showing just how torn he felt.
At last, he said with an expression of deep anguish, "You are the most beautiful."
And so Wen Rujun was satisfied.
Note: 1. The top is the protagonist. A farming and imperial-examination story.
2. This story features a xiao-ge (a male who can marry men) and his husband. They do not have children. Don't read if that's not your thing!
Theme: Keep your heart turned toward the light, and your future toward the horizon!
It's just you, general, who has found a mate like this, who is from such a country country.
It's too abominable that the fourth prince can still be crowned king and harm the people in his fiefdom. Leave a legacy behind.
It was fun to read the first part, but in the later part of the article there were too many confusing names, and some small details were not written properly.
Damn, you have no heart and you are stuck here [crying]
How can you be stuck here! !
I finished reading it overnight. Overall, I enjoyed it very much. It was very interesting ~ [Come on]
What surprised me the most was that the good friend Xiao Jin made, Jiang Jinghuai, was a man, not a brother. According to the routine of the farming novel I read before, Jiang Jiang should be a brother disguised as a man, and he and Shen Qinghe are a couple. But not this one, which I really like! ! !
Some minor flaws are that some people's names in the article are incorrectly spelled as someone else's, but it can be understood based on the context.
There is another little logic bug that I don't understand very well: it is known that Xiao Jin is the biological daughter of Mrs. Mei San, so Mei San should be 30+, then Mrs. Mei (Brother Mei) should be about to reach her fourth year, but when she first appeared in the article, she thought she and Da Bing were the same age, which I personally think is a bit young
Bug, but it doesn't hurt
Very interesting, I read it in one sitting
I don't know if this is carelessness or if this is AI writing? There are a lot of typos and you didn't check it after you finished writing? It's the first time I've seen it so disturbing.
We are already in the interstellar age, are people still so stupid in their thinking?
