Back to Age Sixteen

At sixteen, when Zhang Changqing's parents burned her high school acceptance letter, they told her, "Changqing, once your big brother makes something of himself, he'll never forget you!"

So her big brother went to a junior college, while she dropped out and went away to work.

At twenty-two, when Zhang Changqing got married, her parents used the bride price from her husband's family to pay the down payment on her big brother's house. They told her, "Changqing, your brother's house is your house too!"

At twenty-eight, Zhang Changqing was bedridden and couldn't afford treatment. When her big brother avoided her, her parents wept and pleaded with her, "Changqing, your brother has it hard too. Don't blame him."

For all these years, Zhang Changqing had regretted one thing: not insisting on staying in school when she was sixteen.

Thankfully, she was reborn.
