"The Wind That Crashed Into Spring"
Written by Huifeng Wu
I want to cut open
The cleanest glass
In my life
And give it to you
Dark green ribbons and long hair
Standing on tiptoe, your face turned up
A pen attentive in class, nails growing smooth and round
Winding mountain roads and an empty bus
Speaking in our hometown dialect
My cropped hair turned straw-yellow
I grew thin as a horse starved to death
I grew my nails long, crusted with ugly scabs
I stopped reading, preferring to swallow clouds of smoke
I heard so many words
Accents sharp as weapons, and words that contradicted the heart
All that's left is an engine
Struggling desperately, crawling and fighting
Crashing into white shirts, spring, and sorrow
Still wanting to be clean
When I come to love you
Rich light / wooden floors / your graceful profile / perfect figure
[High school / ballet / filmmaking / the slow days of the past / secret crush]
Theme:
I really like your writing. I liked it in junior high school and still like it in college.
What a literary romance, I like it so much. I couldn't put it down when I saw it on Tieba many years ago. Now I'm revisiting it here, and I still think, oh, Xiaobai Xianer and Ning Xi really match each other.
