Detective Conan + Slam Dunk: Lost

Synopsis: A story about getting even, set in a crossover world

Reader's note: 1. I really don't know how to write a synopsis. After much head-scratching, all I can do is give you the main idea. Yes, this is a story about getting even.

2. The author is emotionally immature. A while ago, while rewatching Detective Conan, I happened to see an episode that went something like this: A murderer evaded capture for more than ten years, until the statute of limitations was about to expire. Then, out of the blue, his conscience awakened, and he decided to compensate the victim's family. He quietly offered them a huge sum of money to atone for his crime. In the end, at the victim's grave, the family saw that the murderer had repented, so they not only refused the money but magnanimously forgave him, telling him to mend his ways and become a good person. I guess my inner chuuni took over my brain in an instant, because a voice kept shouting in my head: In a world that needs truth, goodness, and beauty, how can the victim's soul rest in peace?

3. The murderer puts down his weapon and becomes a Buddha. The victim's family lets go of their grief and starts life anew. But what about the person who died? Have they been spoken for?

4. Finally, after the heroine in my last story was less attractive than the hero, I swore that if I ever wrote another story, I would make the heroine a stunning, irresistible Mary Sue who outshone the hero. Otherwise, what's the point of writing fanfiction? But I soon realized that Mary Sues aren't exactly easy to write.

Well, as the much-longer-than-the-synopsis notes above explain, the idea for this story came roughly from all that. I was so indignant that my values temporarily went off-kilter, and this story was born. I'll write whatever I like, and you can read it however you like. I promise daily updates and no dropping it.
