Qi Mingyuan is an elegant and refined gentleman of the Wei-Jin era, graceful in bearing and scholarly in manner. He understands yin and yang, knows the Eight Trigrams, can see the past and comprehend the future. One glance at a person tells him their past and future, making him a revered Heavenly Master of his generation.
But... this is all just a facade. The real Qi Mingyuan is cold-hearted and ruthless, doing whatever he pleases. What he can't stand most in life are protagonists protected by the Way of Heaven, and he often schemes against them without mercy.
Yet this two-faced, black-hearted charlatan has recently become obsessed with making ridiculous matchmaking predictions...
Qi Mingyuan (smiling): "Brave hero, tomorrow a peerlessly beautiful woman will kneel before you, but you'll turn and run..."
The next day, Lu Xiaofeng, being coerced and tempted by Shangguan Danfeng: "Master, I believe you..."
Qi Mingyuan (narrowing his eyes): "Brave hero, within half a month, you'll go looking for a tigress of your own accord and let her abuse you..."
A few days later, Lu Xiaofeng, with Xue Bing tugging at his ear: "Master, you were right..."
Qi Mingyuan (turning dark): "Brave hero, your true love has appeared. He's waiting for you in the little house, without a single complaint..."
Much, much later, Lu Xiaofeng, triumphant and holding someone by the hand, presented Qi Mingyuan with a banner: "The master really does calculate everything perfectly. Lu Xiaofeng is convinced. Thank you, Master, for playing matchmaker for us..."
Qi Mingyuan: "..."
Wait a second, I made that last one up. Why did it actually come true?
