(Mouse and Cat) The Kunming Lake Twins Series

Joy and sorrow are hard to tell apart! This story was inspired by Hou Xian's song "Kunming Lake." However, the "Kunming Lake" mentioned in the song is not the same as the lake in this story. Strictly speaking, the lake in the story should be called Xuanwu Lake. Legend has it that a black dragon appeared there during the Liu Song dynasty of the Southern Dynasties, which is how it got the name Xuanwu Lake. It was also known in ancient times as Sangbo, Moling Lake, Hou Lake, and Kunming Lake, among other names. During the Northern Song dynasty, Wang Anshi implemented reforms that turned the lake into farmland, and Xuanwu Lake vanished. In the Ming dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang built high city walls and had Xuanwu Lake dredged and restored, making it a natural moat. In other words, the "Kunming Lake" that Zhaobai saw will soon disappear without a trace... The first version of "Kunming Lake" I heard was actually the BGM version, just the instrumental. At the time, I thought it was a very cheerful song. But after hearing the version with lyrics, I couldn't decide whether it was beautiful and kind, or cheerful... So I simply wrote two stories, one sad and one happy. They're companion pieces: the plots are more or less the same, but one is a tragedy and the other a comedy. Theme:
