Yuki gave up her life to grant Kaname Kuran a second life. Zero Kiryuu respects Yuki's wishes and willingly takes on the task of looking after Kaname. Kaien Cross and some of their other friends who know about the trio's past are worried, believing it isn't a good idea, but Zero thinks that his feelings can no longer affect his actions. However, as the two spend more time together, Kaname proves more perceptive than Zero imagined. He starts trying to uncover the past that has been sealed away, while Zero does everything he can to avoid it. In the process, details from those long-ago days that had gone unnoticed begin to surface in Zero's mind...
