Years in the Mountains
I made a promise casually back then, but now I'll see it through even if I have to cry. Actually, I'm here to serve up sweet moments.
Lighthearted Blurb 1: Two ridiculously close old friends reunite after death. Their grudges and entanglements from life are impossible to untangle, and their bickering, soul-shaped cohabitation is full of petty nonsense. Europe's famous jealous old man causes a ruckus, while Hogwarts' former headmaster is left feeling miserable. Can these bickering lovers rekindle their romance and get together? The unreliable author says this is just a daily-life story, written as inspiration strikes.
Serious Blurb 2: "Death is just another great adventure." Who knew that was true? After dying, Dumbledore's soul only wants to live in seclusion in the mountains and enjoy a leisurely retirement. But then he finds Grindelwald, pitiful and thin as a stick, and the two of them cause a ruckus for a while. In the end, they settle down together and farm, in a story that forces a happy ending for the sake of a happy ending. A romance between souls. Happy ending, happy ending, happy ending. It's important, so I'll say it three times.
Note: This isn't the second installment I mentioned before. After watching Fantastic Beasts at the cinema recently, my enthusiasm was rekindled. I felt so sorry for the two of them that my conscience got the better of me, and I decided to give this pairing some sweetness so intense it'll kill you. After reading, please tell me just how sweet it was. Thanks!
The plot has some connections to details in my previous story, Stars of Yesteryear. It can be read on its own. The style has gone off the rails, and there are melodramatic elements, so don't read if that's not your thing.
