I'm rewriting the whole thing. I've been planning this work for almost three years, but somehow I just can't bring myself to start. OTL.
Anyway, I don't want all the effort I put in before to go to waste. Even if I'm the only one who reads it, I'll write it.
First, the Xia in the title is the name of a state, not the heroine's surname, so please don't think the title is misleading.
Second, if you spot any silly mistakes or implausible details, please point them out and I'll correct them.
Third, I've already tried hard to consult plenty of relevant sources and make the story as realistic as possible. I also referred to records such as the Collected Statutes of the Great Qing when creating the setting.
Also, my writing style isn't ornate; it leans more toward philosophical reflection. I don't like writing parallel prose crammed with flowery phrases. It feels too hollow.
Finally, I absolutely will not abandon this story.
As I said before, even if I'm the only one who reads it, I'll write it.
