Zhang Min was a lonely girl from childhood. After one mistake by her grandmother, strange things always seemed to happen around her. Her parents grew to dislike her, and others kept their distance. She could only live with her loving grandmother. When Zhang Min was fifteen, her grandmother died, and she was left to live alone.
Ever since she was little, Zhang Min had known she was ill, and seriously so. But what did it matter? Her grandmother was old and would die sooner or later. Once her grandmother was gone, she would have nothing left to live for in this world. So, to her, it made no difference whether she lived or died.
Author's note:
Our heroine has a mental illness, so her behavior shouldn't be judged by normal standards. She's not very clever, but she's not stupid, either. She's neither a saint nor a naive pushover. She also has a powerful golden finger, so feel free to give the story a try. (This story was inspired by the author's extensive reading about the Qing Dynasty. The more I read, the less I liked the Qing Dynasty, so historical accuracy buffs, read at your own risk.)
