No one knows who she originally was. No one knows who she is. Past, present, and future, endlessly; days gone by, the old times, years ago, looking back at what came before. But now, it has all reached its end.
No one can stay young forever, but there will always be someone looking back on their youth. You aren't the only one forever lost in time.
Back then, our hair reached our waists.
Back then, we were petite.
Back then, we were innocent.
When we were little, everything was new and unknown to us.
We always thought flowers were edible, that the dolls in our hands were our closest confidants, and we would even forget to eat or sleep when playing games. Back then, we were simply ourselves.
Ten years later, we came to know a tiny world.
We would do anything for our friends, work hard for exams, and even travel across the world to follow our idols. Someone once told me that we were all tiny stars.
Twenty years later, we persevered toward our goals and stood up to others for the sake of freedom.
We were all stubborn and confident.
Everyone beneath the spotlight yearned for applause, but we also knew we were finding ways to laugh through hardship, all of us slaves to life.
I wouldn't dare say that all my stories are meant to commemorate everything I've lost. But I dedicate them to the women who have passed me by, and to all of you living through your own stories.
