Excerpt 1:
The revolving glass door reflected the morning sunlight, brilliant and dazzling. A moment later, Fu Ziyi's tall figure blocked it. Yi Yan slowly raised her eyes, gazing at Fu Ziyi's upright figure wrapped in warm light. His finely sculpted face was backlit, and his dark, phoenix-shaped eyes reflected her tiny image. Yi Yan suddenly froze.
"You left this behind, my ex-wife." His deep voice was rich with magnetism, its elegant lilt making Yi Yan's heart skip a beat.
She looked down at the black lace in his hand, and her composure crumbled.
Excerpt 2:
Yi Yan wore a faint smile, though impatience was beginning to show in her eyes. Just as Jiang Baldy's greasy hand was about to touch her waist, her patience finally ran out. Before she could act, a dramatic scene unfolded: Jiang Baldy was flung to the ground like a worn-out sack. The person who'd thrown him stood tall and straight, casually adjusting his cuff, his narrow eyes filled with a cold, harsh light.
Yi Yan was stunned for a moment. The last time she'd seen Fu Ziyi fight was in college, when youth and recklessness had made him quick to anger. But now...
"I'm sorry, Mr. Fu. We disturbed your meal. We'll take care of everything." The restaurant manager was clearly a savvy man. Who was Fu Ziyi? The man could set the whole city of A in turmoil with a single move.
"What, Wen Xian can't afford to keep you, so you've come out to flaunt your looks and attract clients?" As soon as the onlookers dispersed, Fu Ziyi spoke in a cold, cutting tone.
Yi Yan gazed steadily at him with her beautiful phoenix eyes, her smile seeming to say everything and nothing. The next moment, her expression changed, and she left him with a line that made his blood boil.
"And who are you to tell me what to do?"
