Agarwood Chronicles

Agarwood Tales: The Agarwood Pavilion

Tune to the Song of Fragrance

The sunken-scent pavilion, fragrant smoke drifting in wisps.

Where is love? A wisp of fragrant soul.

An old friend is gone, yet the familiar scent returns.

Agarwood, sandalwood, dragon's blood, musk;

patchouli's dream, in the mortal world.

Lingling, styrax, greenwood, and agarwood.

Where peace awaits, the dust of soul-returning incense.

Seas change and fields become mulberry groves; the world transforms.

Through cycles of rebirth, the snow lotus scent remains, just like an old friend.

In the kingdom of Louling, there is an incense shop called the Agarwood Pavilion. It is said to have stood for hundreds of years.

The pavilion specializes in making and blending incense, and sells all kinds of fragrant incense.

Legend has it that obtaining an incense blend from the pavilion can grant the wish in your heart.

But you cannot pay for one with gold or silver. You must trade a piece of jade for it. And once the incense has burned away, you must put its ashes in an incense sachet and return them to the pavilion.
