Quick Transmigration: Breaking the Flags

Once upon a time, there was a Host named Xiao Shi. Then he transmigrated with a System. His mission was simple: enter the world of a novel, play the male supporting character, and make sure his body survived until the plot was over. If possible, he should also steer the plot back on course. It should have been easy, but it was as if he had activated some strange switch. Every time he was close to succeeding, he would raise a death flag and fail the mission. After failing yet again because his body died too soon... System 0238 (CPU overheating): The mission and difficulty are the same. Why are everyone else's Hosts doing fine, while you keep crashing and burning?! Xiao Shi (deadpan): Is that my fault? #The plot is always going off the rails# #Without comparison, there is no pain# #Besides other people's kids, there are also other people's Hosts# This is the story of someone trying to avoid a bad ending, only to keep failing. √ System 0238: I have a Host who's terribly unlucky. Every time he raises a flag, it comes true. Reader's guide: 1. One-on-one, bottom protagonist. A gentle, devoted-dog top who turns dark and obsessive later x a bottom with maxed-out acting skills and a sharp tongue. 2. Unrestrained writing, rough prose, indulgent wish fulfillment, and plot logic that is dead on arrival. 3. New writer seeking support. Suggestions welcome, personal attacks are not. 4. Not abandoned. Updates every other day, as the author is a student. 5. No nitpicking over historical details. No leaderboard stalking. No reposting in any form. Cover art:
