Officer, Was I Ever in Love with You?

On New Year's Eve in 20xx, an officer at a police station in a district of B City receives a report: a witness saw someone kidnap a man. Initial checks confirm that the victim is the officer's same-sex partner. The other officers at the station show no signs of prejudice when they hear the news. The most urgent thing is to rescue the victim. ..."I don't know him." "Don't know him? Then why is his number saved in your phone, pinned to the top, huh?" Zhang Kai coughs up two mouthfuls of blood and says, "Bro, I've given you all my money and borrowed everything I could. Please just let me go." "Let you go? So you can turn around and call that damn cop? Hmph!" The man throws down the desk lamp, stands up, and tells the people behind him, "Take care of it." ..."Captain Wang! We can't wait any longer! The hostage will be in danger if we do!" Captain Wang frowns. "Xiao Zhou, we're not completely sure yet. We can't even be certain that the kidnappers only have that one hideout. If we go in and they flee with the hostage, the chances of them killing the hostage will only go up." "Get out!" Theme:
