It's mainly romance, with cases on the side. At first, she was his older girl-next-door, and he was her younger brother. She was entrusted with looking after her unusual neighbor. She knew early on that he was very smart. He was quiet enough to sit in one spot all afternoon, and she knew Sherlock Holmes was his favorite. He'd read the books more than ten times. He was highly intelligent but had poor social skills, which she could tell from the way he treated his childhood friend. He was supposed to be just her little brother. So why was she paying more and more attention to him? Why did it hurt to see him with his childhood friend? Why didn't she want them to be together? So she'd fallen in love with him. But she could tell that he was in love with his childhood friend, so she chose to leave their lives and pursue her own dreams, trying to forget him. When she thought she had moved on, when she thought she could wish them well, why did he have to come back and stir up her feelings, shattering her confidence that she had let go?
