A mysterious old pavilion hidden in the city. Red silk is the guide, and deep-seated longing is the pact. Here, no one asks who you are or demands payment. They simply help people fulfill the wishes they cannot let go.
Thousands of red silk ribbons hang from the vines inside the pavilion, every crease steeped in earthly longing. Someone hides their unspoken love in a ribbon, unaware that the other person has already written their name on another. A demon takes human form just to seek the last lingering trace of the soul of their lover, reborn in another life. Someone suffers nightmares every night, only to discover that a dream beast is behind them.
“There are no gods or demons here, only red silk covered in longings, and a group of people even crazier than their own obsessions.”
Pei Jingxing closes the wish book and smiles at the visitor.
