Clearing the Bizarre World with a Popular Comic Character

[The premise has changed. If you don't like it, feel free to remove it from your favorites.]

Novelist Huai Lin was up all night writing. Just as he typed the final word, his vision flashed, and he suddenly appeared in a bed that wasn't his own. A voice also appeared in his mind.

Player 001, welcome to the CW Mysterious World. Initial activity area: a shut-in's bed.

Please explore actively, unlock more areas, and clear the game with your teammates as soon as possible.

Huai Lin thought for just two seconds before making his decision.

First, sleep. He could wait for his teammates while he was at it.

The first teammate Huai Lin met was a high school detective whose body had shrunk, but whose mind was just as sharp as ever.

The little detective was brilliant at deduction. Although he was always testing Huai Lin, intentionally or otherwise, Huai Lin thought they got along quite well.

The little detective was also very capable, quickly using his wits to expand their activity area from the shut-in's bed to the entire room.

Huai Lin was quite pleased. He was about to go check out the living room when he opened the bedroom door and met his second teammate.

This teammate was a cool guy with silver hair.

He was cold and ruthless.

At their first meeting, he treated Huai Lin to a bullet.

Huai Lin touched the bullet hole in his temple and smiled.

Not bad, Gin. You're as fiery as they say.

--- "Player has died. Time rewind."

Once he figured out this hidden rule, Huai Lin used his own skills to experience seven deaths and seven kills at the hands of the cool guy.

His third teammate was a pink-haired man with smiling eyes.

He liked making beef stew with potatoes.

The finished dish just never turned out very well.

Huai Lin was a little troubled.

Luckily, it wasn't long before the fourth teammate arrived.

The fourth teammate was an excellent cook, with blue catlike eyes and a gentle personality.

But even this gentle teammate was welcomed with a bullet from the cool guy.

The cool guy's reasoning was simple: even in a mysterious world, a rat that comes back from the dead has to be exterminated.

Then, after everyone had gone through their tenth time rewind,

before anyone else could speak, the cool guy said:

Even a rat has value.

After that came the fifth... the sixth... the seventh...

Huai Lin's team kept growing, and the areas they unlocked grew larger and larger: from one floor to an entire building, then to streets, a small town…

The secrets of this game were gradually coming to light…

Along the way, Huai Lin also slowly realized that, as an ordinary person, he might not be ordinary at all?
