Chapter One: Bo Xiaoai
Bo Xiaoai.
That was her name.
Bo Xiaoai understood that her optimistic parents had put the character "love" in her name because they hoped she would grow up to be a girl filled with love. But her sweet parents had forgotten that her surname was Bo, meaning thin, scant, and insubstantial.
Maybe her name really was why fate treated her so unfairly. Her love life was full of hardship. Guided by her naive and timid ideas about love, she gave everything bearing the word "first" to one supposed "Prince Charming" after another. She had no idea that each of those princes was a wolf in human clothing. Some weren't even wolves. There was a word for them: scum.
In short, Bo Xiaoai summed up her ill-fated love life this way:
At the most naive age, she met the hardest-to-find kind of scumbag. In the brightest years of her life, she gave everything beautiful in her to strangers.
In other words, by the time Bo Xiaoai met the man who truly loved her, she had long since lost the innocence and preciousness she once had.
