I'm Jiang Qinlang, an utterly ordinary landlady.
Every day, I get out of my 2 m by 2 m bed, push aside the blanket stuffed with featherbeast down and explosive cotton, wash up, put on my electric-mouse slippers, and start making my way from the bottom floor up, demanding rent from my nightmare tenants.
Tenant number one is a tentacle monster, number two is a slime, number three is a children's tricycle, and tenant number four is a bioroid who failed to assassinate its creator.
And those aren't the only weirdos.
I'm not just their landlady. I'm also the one who cleans up their messes, and I moonlight as a chauffeur. When there's a meteor shower, I drive my buildings somewhere safe.
I recently heard a new tenant was moving in, and the nightmare tenants all came to ask what kind of creature it was.
What could I say?
All I could do was hang up my Galactic Medal of Valor and tell them not to be scared.
"If you think of it like an RPG, I'm the hero, and that nightmare tenant... I mean, the new tenant is just an ordinary Demon King."

To be precise, that guy is actually a black hole that Jiang Qinlang, who was a magical girl at the time, smashed to bits more than ten years ago.
Tenants: A black hole? The one we know? I mean, that (emphasis) black hole?
Former magical girl Jiang Qinlang: Uh, probably, yes. But don't worry, it was a black hole that got smashed with her mouth.
Tenants: ...? Wait, what got smashed?
Jiang Qinlang shrugs: Can't be helped. A-Jiang won't let me put those two words together, so it got smashed with her mouth.
...Anyway, that untimely word choice makes the whole situation sound a little inappropriate.

I'm pretty good at writing non-humans!
Third-person narration.
The setting connects with other intelligent life in the universe, but there won't be too much focus on technology.
Most of the non-humans (aliens) in this story aren't humanoid. That means they don't turn into humans.
The heroine is a retired magical girl. She's now a landlady with formidable fighting ability, the kind who once smashed the strongest creature in the world, but she's retired now. Most of the time, she's like a reclusive master who just sweeps the floor.
Basically, it's a happy slice-of-life story about different species living together in a future setting.
Theme: Unity, inclusiveness, and striving forward make for a brighter tomorrow.
