I Want to Be Your Flower
Synopsis: When they were children, she loved him, and he loved flowers.
She said she wanted to be his flower.
He smiled and said nothing.
From then on, she stayed by his side every day, and he doted on her every day.
But then he rode off to war, and she tearfully bid him farewell.
When he returned, she wept with joy, but he said he was tired of her and locked her in the rose garden.
Inside the garden, she heard that a beautiful foreign woman, as lovely as a fairy, had saved him.
She heard that he was going to marry that foreign woman.
She lay smiling on the roses. The sunlight stung her eyes, and the thorns stained her white dress a vivid red. The flowers, too, seemed more beautiful than ever. Little did anyone know that her tears had already fallen across the entire sea of flowers.
She murmured, "You are heartless, and so are the flowers."
Was he truly unfaithful, or was there another scheme at work?
