Pangu created the world, separating heaven and earth and setting day and night in motion. After Pangu died, his body transformed into mountains, rivers, and divine weapons that scattered across the land. The Mother of Earth, Nuwa, saw that the human world was wondrously beautiful, yet still as lifeless as a painting. She molded all living creatures, including humans, from clay. Over thousands of years, they multiplied and thrived, and the world blossomed with flowers and filled with laughter.
One day, Nuwa took the form of a village girl and came down to visit the human world. Unexpectedly, she encountered a dragon who had cultivated for a thousand years in Qingyun Mountain, leading a horde of demons to wreak havoc among humanity. Nuwa summoned the Four Divine Beasts, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise, and trapped the demons in the Valley of Divine Beasts to reflect on their actions. She took the dragon to a prison at the edge of the heavens. Only the poisonous toad was fortunate enough to escape the calamity.
During the chaos of the battle, Nuwa unexpectedly witnessed a heartwarming scene: a person saving a snake, and a snake saving a person. After rescuing them both, Nuwa brought the golden python back to her Heavenly Pool to cultivate alongside the red fish, and named the python "Huangjin."
A thousand years later, the poisonous toad managed to free the dragon from the prison at the edge of the heavens, and the dragon tore a huge hole in the sky. Nuwa searched across the lands and seas for five-colored stones. But the greedy blue stone was unwilling to be used to repair the sky, and fled with the dragon, escaping Nuwa's grasp. Nuwa sacrificed herself and transformed into a spirit stone to mend the heavens.
When Huangjin and Bing Yu learned that Lady Nuwa was in danger, they fought the dragon and the blue stone, but Huangjin was badly wounded and separated from Bing Yu, then scattered across the human world. While grievously wounded, Huangjin unexpectedly encountered and was saved by the person who had once saved his life in a past life. In this life, that person is a young Taoist priest named "Jin Yuan." Huangjin and Jin Yuan fall in love at first sight, embarking on a tragic and beautiful romance.
