Night Tales of a Phantom World

Red Shuttlegrass: the material the Matchmaker uses to dye his red threads.

Xuan Ji: a peach blossom fairy in the Heavenly Court.

Ying Xing: a celestial official who guards the northern sky.

Huang Ying: a chrysanthemum fairy in the Heavenly Court and Xuan Ji’s younger sister.

Xuan Ji discovered the properties of Red Shuttlegrass by chance. On a whim, she decided to play a harmless little game. Using the juice of the Red Shuttlegrass, she drew a red line from Ying Xing’s palm to her own.

“Red Shuttlegrass might not work like the Matchmaker’s red thread...” Xuan Ji could only console herself this way after Huang Ying accidentally wiped away the red line on Ying Xing’s palm...

Red Shuttlegrass might indeed not be as effective as the Matchmaker’s red thread, but Huang Ying blundered into the relationship between Xuan Ji and Ying Xing...

Although this is a side story to Fantasy Underworld, I’ve resolved to write it clearly and in full, so that readers who haven’t read Fantasy Underworld can follow it to the end with no trouble!
