Honeyed Kisses

As the daughter of a billionaire, Wen Ningxue spent a fortune buying the soon-to-fold AEW club and renamed it "Love's Name."

The move set the internet abuzz. Netizens joked that the Wen family's princess had more money than she could spend, and had gone out of her way to donate to this trash team. She was the very embodiment of supporting a cause out of love.

Wen Ningxue acted like she didn't care, but the moment she turned around, she clung to Xue Mingyi's leg and tearfully begged, "Boss, please carry us to the championship! If we don't earn a hundred million within a year, I'll have to go back and inherit the family fortune."

Xue Mingyi scoffed. "Why should I help you?"

Wen Ningxue: "Because I'm your fiancee. How can a fiance stand by when his fiancee is in trouble?"

Xue Mingyi: "Sorry, I don't want to marry you."

Wen Ningxue: "Even better! Let's make a deal. If you lead the team to the championship within a year, we'll break off our engagement. How about it?"

Xue Mingyi: "Deal."

One year later

On the podium, Xue Mingyi gave his acceptance speech: "I once promised someone I would stand on the world stage. Now I've done it, so I want to tell that person: Sorry, but I want to break my promise."

Wen Ningxue: "?"

Xue Mingyi: "Wen Ningxue, will you marry me?"

Wen Ningxue: "???"

This isn't how it was supposed to go!
