Story blurb: A tale about Earth's emigrants.
This is a backward planet, almost entirely overrun by violent plants. The humans on the planet are descendants of Earth emigrants from several hundred years ago. They struggle to hold on to a small habitat amid the savage plant forest, fighting the plants at every turn. Every bite of food and sip of water, every patch of ground they can stand on, has been won through battle. Warriors hold the highest status.
To train warriors, the planet has a rule: on the day they reach adulthood, everyone, male or female, must choose their future path. There are three options: One, proudly become a warrior; two, give up your personhood and serve a warrior, which means being sold to one; three, if you don't want either of the first two options, or are unable to choose them, pay the government a hefty fee for shelter. After paying, the government will let you stay in the safe zone, but you'll have to handle all your own survival needs, as the government owes you nothing.
If you can't do any of these three things, you'll be expelled from the safe zone, with no exceptions, no matter who you are.
Those who can't become warriors can only live at the mercy of others.
When the heroine first arrives on the planet, she has no personhood or dignity. She is an accessory, belonging to a warrior...
Then one day, she accidentally discovers how to tame the savage plants, and her life begins to change...
Reader advisory: 1. It doesn't really feel like a space story.
2. One-on-one romance.
Theme:
It was a bit satisfying to see the last moment, but it was a pity that the time was a bit short
Author, why didn't I find aristocratic blood in your column?
Harmful, actually I hope to change this planet
After watching Leave Paw Prints, the ending was too rushed.
I guess my wife really doesn't know how to write it, because it's hard for me to imagine the end. The progress was too fast, and since the disaster appeared, it meant that the end was not far away!

Hey, with a gun, you think your status can be restored, you idiot
