Have you heard? Mr. Fu ordered cakes from Miss Shen's shop for a whole month before she finally noticed him.
Mr. Fu is so devoted. Maybe Miss Shen should give him some thought?
Fu Ling snapped, "Are you saying I like her? That I secretly did things for her for a whole month? I must have been blind!"
The others whispered, "That's the least convincing denial ever. He really is blind."
So everyone knew the truth.
Fu Ling is obsessed with buying houses, matchmaking, and composing music. He doesn't charge for performances, but they'll make you want to die.
Shen Hua said, "His voice isn't nice to listen to, either."
Everyone thought Mr. Fu had a long road ahead of him.
But Shen Hua, a drama queen whose former husband died, cleverly used excuses to make the rumors seem true.
Fu Ling felt he couldn't explain himself. He wasn't the one harboring ulterior motives.
