Synopsis:

And that you were nothing but an insignificant NPC in a virtual game world,

Programmed and mass-produced, then refreshed after being killed,

And that you only became aware of all this because of a tiny bug in the System, and because of her,

That woman in white, cool and ethereal as a wisp of mist.

You would never forget her standing before you, her features as lovely as a painting, her eyes shining with gentle light.

Jia Ning: "I came here for the game. Before I knew it, I had grown used to having you by my side, and now I never want us to part. Shen Si, even if you're just an illusory reflection, like a flower in a mirror or the moon in water, I'm willing to leave everything behind and hold your hand alone."

A story with a questionable moral compass:

Shen Si (striking an Er Kang pose): "Hey! What's all this about being erased by the System, and bugs? I'm not going to kick the bucket that easily."

Shen Si (still striking an Er Kang pose): "Because I've latched onto a really, really powerful backer."

Shen Si (laughing like a rattling bell): "System, if you've got the guts, come get me! Come on!"

Really, this is just a story about clinging to a powerful backer in all sorts of ways and showering each other with affection.

But it's not a Mary Sue story, and it's not love at first sight. It's a slow-burn, wholesome romance.
