Lu Miao's spiritual veins were destroyed, and she fell off a cliff and lost her memory. Six months later, at the site of her fall, she found a handsome man who was just as badly injured and had lost his memory too.
His long hair brushed the ground, a white silk band covered his eyes, and fine cuts from sharp blades crisscrossed his disheveled black robes.
Lu Miao saved him.
The man was stunningly beautiful. When he asked how he could repay her, Lu Miao joked, "For saving your life, why not offer yourself to me?"
The man fell silent for a long moment, then gently nodded. On closer inspection, the tips of his ears were red.
Now it was Lu Miao's turn to panic. She'd only said it offhand!
Later, the two became engaged. Then, on the eve of their wedding, a gigantic immortal vessel appeared in the sky, casting a vast shadow over the ground. Lu Miao's wedding was smashed to pieces.
The aloof young sect master, who claimed to be her fiancé, clamped a hand around Lu Miao's wrist. His eyes were red as he said, "Lu Yinyin, what trick are you trying to pull this time?"
Without another word, he tried to drag her away by force, ignoring her struggles.
No one expected the sickly man who'd been ignored off to the side to draw his sword and charge forward. "You're hurting her."
That day, amid ten thousand feet of radiant clouds, Lu Miao witnessed a sword strike that shook the heavens.
Later still, after regaining her memories, Lu Miao learned that she was the eldest daughter of the Lu family of Zhongzhou, and that the aloof young sect master really was betrothed to her.
But a childhood sweetheart could not compete with a newcomer.
After the young sect master left to gain experience, he was badly injured and lost his memory. A little demon saved him. By the time Lu Miao brought people to find him, he and the little demon had already become husband and wife. The little demon returned home with the young sect master, who defended, spoiled, and indulged her at every turn.
Lu Miao tried everything, but he never looked back. Their engagement of many years became a joke. Until Lu Miao went missing after getting into danger...
The young sect master suddenly realized that what he felt for the little demon was guilt, a desire to make amends, and nothing more. But he loved Lu Miao! He searched for her like a madman...
He sped there aboard an immortal vessel, only to learn that she was about to marry someone else.
The young sect master refused to believe Lu Miao had lost her memories. How could his Yinyin not love him? What he didn't know was that before falling off the cliff, Lu Miao had already let him go and planned to end their engagement.

2. There are misunderstandings and hidden circumstances, but sorry, aloof and arrogant young sect master, you'll have to pursue your wife all the way to the crematorium.
3. This was inspired by the all-too-common trope of a male lead who loses his memory, brings home a concubine, and hurts the female lead. I wanted something different, so I wrote it myself.
4. More to come if I think of anything...
