You Are Sweet Medicine, Like Sugar in Pine Tea

[Sweet May 20 Preview. This novel has been signed for print publication. The print edition is titled *You Are the Sweet Remedy I Need*.] Jiang Ci, an ordinary young woman from the streets, is badly injured when a spooked horse crashes into her on her way to a wedding. Somehow, something must have gone wrong in the collision, because during half a year of recovery she balloons in weight until she is hideously fat. Her fiancé's family rejects her, and her own family won't take her in. From then on, her life is one long misery. In the midst of her wretched misfortune, she runs into a rich young wastrel. Even after seeing her at her ugliest and most disheveled, he refuses to leave her alone. From then on, no matter how difficult the road gets, he never abandons her again. Even if they are doomed to a thousand calamities, he will never let her down. Among the city's high and mighty, this wastrel, mocked by everyone, takes Jiang Ci's hand and smiles tenderly. "Don't be afraid. If anyone gives you a hard time, give it right back. Your husband will stand up for you." Jiang Ci thinks Wei Shu is the kindest, richest, and most handsome man in the world... a wastrel! Only after she is granted a noble title does Jiang Ci discover that this wastrel is actually a wastrel with real talent! PS: The female lead's ugliness and fatness are only temporary, temporary, temporary! 1v1, both leads' first relationship. Bonus scene: Jiang Ci hacks a cleaver into the gate, her almond-shaped eyes blazing as she points at a group of little hussies. "Speak! Which one of you has designs on my man?" The little hussies tremble in fear. They never expected Jiang Ci to go from meek to fiery the moment she met Wei Shu, with no transition at all! PS: I've been a little busy, and my stockpile of chapters is about to run out. I may have to switch from daily updates, which haven't lasted long, to updates every other day... I'm so sorry! Theme:
