Shadows of the Sacred Mirror

What use is a mirror? Squeezing pimples on your face? Plucking the hairs on your cheeks? Neither is right. Traditionally, the sacred mirror worshipped by the people of Bedaras was used to match members of the tribe for marriage. Forced to stand before the sacred mirror and take part in the matchmaking ceremony, Larien felt deeply helpless. She was twenty years old that year. And what left her even more helpless and speechless was this: The sacred mirror told her, "Your marriage partner will be born ten years from now." This is an old story I wrote on a whim. Ignore the weird names, character settings, and so on... At this point, I've got so much embarrassing old stuff that I'm beyond caring. Anyway, it's a story centered on a mirror.
