Zhou Jinyu's life has never been smooth sailing. After struggling to put his younger sister through college, he was blinded in a car accident while pursuing his master's degree. Forced to put his studies on hold, he recuperated at home before helping out at his senior's clinic. There, he met a warmhearted young man. Captivated by the clear, gentle sound of his voice, Zhou Jinyu wanted to get to know him.
Before meeting Cheng Ji, Zhou Jinyu had never known that someone's voice could bewitch his mind.
So Zhou Jinyu reached out, feeling his way inch by inch over the contours of the young man's face, until his hand unconsciously came to rest at his throat, where the voice came from.
Cheng Ji: ...Sir? Your hand?
Zhou Jinyu calmly pulled his hand back. Your vocal cords aren't injured. It's just a slight cold. You'll recover with acupuncture and medicine.
But the truth was...
I've already fallen under his spell. (That voice can only make me a little hard, as a sign of respect.)
Zhou Zhilai heard someone calling from the road. Zhou looked back and saw a bream in the rut left by a cart.
