After the Flowering Season

Does youth matter to you? You don't have to answer me, because someone already answered before you did. She said, "It matters. It matters a lot." I asked her why it mattered. She said, "Because I left the person I loved most there forever." I asked her why she didn't go find him again. She smiled, shook her head, and lowered her eyes. A gentle breeze passed, stirring her high ponytail, the lush strands soft and lovely. She couldn't get him back. All she wished was for time to never grow old, memories to never fade, and love to last forever.
