A short story submitted to a magazine, published in the May 2016 issue (No. 492) of "Reading Novels" Excerpt: The cloaked man chuckled. "It's been years, but your temper hasn't changed." The coachman gave him a cool glance. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had to make a special trip down the mountain. We'll settle this score later." The cloaked man shrugged and changed the subject. "That girl charges around recklessly. You just let her do whatever she wants?" "I trust her to handle things. And... here's the evidence you wanted." The coachman pulled a stack of letters from his robes and tossed them to the man with a cold snort. "After the Yellow Wind Army defeated the Northwestern Barbarian King, these people never meant well. Now they've finally found a chance to stir up trouble before His Majesty, yet they don't realize they've been made into someone else's pawns." The cloaked man took the letters and quickly skimmed them. His expression darkened. Pinning the letters down in his hand, he asked coldly, "Did you take care of what I asked you to do?" The coachman raised an eyebrow and drained his cup of wine. "What do you think?" [Please note:] 1. Martial arts, court intrigue, mystery. 2. A hint of danmei. Theme:
