The Sword's Return

Ye Chou said: "Hatred and kindness are like holding up a lamp to cast a shadow. People walk through the dark of night. Even if they hold a lone lamp that lights their shadow, they cannot change the road ahead. Where there is light, there is shadow. But if you hold up a lamp to look at the shadow, the shadow vanishes without a trace. Yet as long as a person is there, their shadow is there too. So why be grateful for the light?" Eighteen years ago, Shen Duanchou, a protector of the Demon Cult, suffered the slaughter of his entire family. His young son, Shen Qi, was rescued by Wuliangchou Guanshan Lou, who then went into hiding. Eighteen years later, rumors spread through the martial world that Guanshan Lou had died because Shen Qi had betrayed him and returned to the Demon Cult. The wandering swordsman Ye Chou and his disciple Sun Tianle were in Teng City listening to the elderly storyteller Xie Fang when they heard of Shen Qi's whereabouts. They learned that to find Shen Qi, they first needed the Eight Immortal Talismans passed down by the Eight Evil Ancestors. The talismans had long vanished from the martial world, but the current chancellor, Fang Jingge, had once received one as a gift and given it to his only son, Fang Zhinan... "It's hard to change yourself, and even harder to change others. Becoming yourself is easy, and becoming the person you want to be is even easier. Sadly, most people can't do it, because most people never even try." "So what should we do?" "Do it."
