Tacitus in Love, Plato in a Trap

"'Impractical' and 'ideal' were never meant to go together. Because as for reality... if you make your ideal come true, then you'll have reality, won't you?" Seven years ago, he was forced to leave this city. Seven years later, he was one step closer to his dream. Fang Quan is a rookie court stenographer at the top-tier Erbing District Court in Sanshui City, working hard today, too, to become a judge. But the road to his dream is not smooth. Heavy workloads, his own limitations, and emotional weaknesses all hold him back. And then there's that sharp-tongued guy, Yi Zhongming... "You're a precious court clerk, after all." Every time that Yi guy says those words, Fang Quan can't help wondering what he really means. In this local court hidden among the streets, Fang Quan follows Judge Yi Zhongming as he witnesses the joys and sorrows of human life. As he learns the practicalities of the law, can Fang Quan help Yi Zhongming untangle the knot in his heart? My first danmei experience. Judge Yi Zhongming X court clerk Fang Quan. The story is set before judicial reform, before judicial reform, before judicial reform! [Saying it three times for emphasis.] The cited statutes are kept as up to date as possible. The cases are based on real events, but the truth has been obscured and padded out with references to famous works and figures from both the fictional and real worlds. This is all made-up nonsense, so read with caution. Theme:
