This is a love story about a beginner-level Holmes who seems rather slow on the uptake and an advanced-level Holmes who seems socially inept.
The original-novel Holmes only makes brief appearances in the first few chapters and Shirley's memories.
I'm terrible at mysteries, so this is simply a story that adds a new character to the plot of the original BBC series.
You'll see a different Sherlock, which means he may be out of character.
This is a new writer's first work. If it's not to your taste, feel free to move on.
I dedicate this story to the hardworking, responsible Sherlock production team, especially Steven, Mark, and producer Su.
I also offer this as a tribute to Sherlock Holmes and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
