Before her death, Feng Yin was a ThunderClan cat. She fell in love with Apple Dusk, a RiverClan cat, and claimed that the mixed-clan kits she bore were the children of Oakface, a dead warrior. Oakface's father, Oakstar, who was then leader of ThunderClan, drove her out, and she became a rogue. After going through a series of acts of revenge, she became a Dark Forest cat after death.
