[Western Crossover] The Villain Organization Was Supposed to Fall

After his thesis is plagiarized and he is falsely accused in turn, Garcia loses his reputation, and his wife is diagnosed with a terminal illness. In despair, he chooses to join an organization willing to help save her. He becomes one of them, assigned as a researcher to study and maintain the organization's "weapon": a man known as the Soldier. Oppressed and suspected, forced to face every day the face of the World War II hero he himself has tormented, he goes to see his wife one last time before he breaks down. The organization has been deceiving him all along. The so-called nutritional solution they have been giving his wife is what keeps her unconscious and unable to move. He discovers that her heart is failing, and that the solution causes her terrible pain when it is administered. But without it, she would die at once. He pulls out the feeding tube and watches his wife stop breathing. He kisses her forehead. "We'll be together again." - "Awaiting orders." The newly thawed weapon's gaze is cold, a killing aura emanating from him. "Let's get out of here," Garcia says. "Then we'll destroy the organization." Theme:
