The Dog Gave Me a Look

My dog gave me a look, telling me to hide behind a rock and not come out yet. Our landing spot was pretty bad, since we had arrived right in the middle of a battle between a one-horned wolf and a slime. He decided to go negotiate and see if he could get them to let us pass first, then they could go back to fighting. Me: Huh??? How could that possibly work? Stop messing around! Let's hurry and run! My dog: Stop thinking about everything with your narrow human mind! Open up your perspective and broaden your thinking! Anyway, he's about to go find the one-horned wolf leader, and he's told me to hide behind the rock and stay put. Me: Wait, before you go, what if you fail? Doggo: Then we'll run. Me: ??? Isn't that exactly the same conclusion I came to with my narrow human mind? Doggo: No, it's different. If that happens, we'll have to run for it. But if I succeed, we won't have to run. When the negotiations failed and the one-horned wolves and slimes both started attacking us, we had no choice but to make a run for it. I was gasping for breath, but still tried my very best to kick him. Dog: Hey, hurry up and run! This is no time to fight among ourselves! Me: Whose fault is this! Whose fault is this! Whose fault is this! · Here's what happened: for some reason, I'm now forced to go on adventures in different otherworlds every weekend. My adventure companions are a dog who loves being nosy and listening to gossip, a parrot who's a huge fan of death metal, then later on, a short section of a vine knight's severed limb (a branch?), and after that, a defective household robot. Me: Thanks to my companions, I, who can barely run 800 meters, can now sprint for my life for ten whole minutes while a pack of wolves and slimes chase me, and still not get caught. Thanks, thanks. To show my gratitude, I'm feeding you unused cat litter for all three meals today. (Cold and heartless) Key points: The main text is written in third person.
